Want to know what your personal brand is? Ask for feedback!

Give feedback. Ask for feedback.

This week has been especially active in events where I have been a speaker or trainer. The Talent Day by Blanquerna, The 1st Guudjob Personal Brand Forum in Barcelona, and the 1st workshop for mavericks Get on Valor Express Barcelona. Three events united by the personal brand and the urgent need we have to know it without managing it: Ask for feedback. Meet feedback. acts (without obsessing) to reshape the results of that feedback.

The particular thing about the case, is that each of the events gathered an audience with differentiated needs.

Recent graduates who opt for the first job

Talent Day brought together a good group of 4th graders who are going to face the rawness of entering the world of work. My first consideration, with all due respect to all universities, is that that day should be celebrated at the end of 1st grade, at the end of the 2nd, at the end of 3rd, And, of course at the end of the race. Those of us who work on this do not tire of repeating that becoming a reference to be the choice in a process takes years, not days or weeks.

When I told them about the importance of asking for feedback, to work on a unique and differentiated value proposition and the need to take the reins of our brand on the Internet, they understood. I have no doubt. But except for one person, no one had bothered to do it. Now my little heroes need to sprint and put a contact machinery running at full speed to avoid running off the hook in the workplace.

The same thing happened to Esther Casademont when he told them about the résumé in a masterful talk titled: “From résumé to ridyaum”. And the same thing happened to Jordi Collell when he told them about the importance of leaving a good mark on the Internet and social media. The music sounded but no one had rehearsed the score.

Some may ask why and who to ask for feedback if I have no work experience? The answer is simple: Teachers, Mentors, fellow students, mentors of internships, Family, Friends (that's less legit) and ultimately, people who have seen us act worked or leading projects of any kind (Volunteering, organizing events…).

How to ask for feedback? You've read it to me many times., ask what you're especially competent in and ask how you can improve. Use email or free apps like Google Forms or Guudjob, which I'll discuss in more detail below.

Those who want to improve their employment situation

Guudjob, along with The Valley Digital School And Reason Why organized an interesting personal brand forum aimed at people who need or want to improve their work time. The event brought together speakers I didn't know, As Joan Martin, Bernardo Montero, Eva Ballarín, Javier Guadiana And Cristina Perez. Joan, Eva and I get more into the personal brand, Bernando talked about growth haking, Javier discussed nonverbal language and Cristina about the steps in selecting a candidate.

Let's not forget that feedback allows us to get to know them better, but also improve

But the biggest surprise, For me, Was Guudjob, the app. A kind of Tripadvisor of people. I've had it installed for a long time., but I hadn't used it because I thought it was to be valued among employees of companies. Error. Guudjob is the cool feedback, not only the result of a long relationship, also of a short impression. After each intervention, the speakers were valued through the app by forum attendees. That's great. Let's not forget that when you ask for feedback, that allows us to get to know each other, but also improve.

The key to the app is: Give feedback, asks for feedback. They score on a scale of 1 To 5, but that's not what's important to me. The important thing is the phrase that accompanies the score, for me that's the real rating. I agree, if you have 1.000 Valuations, the statistical average is relevant. But the comments enrich, because they are the ones that clearly indicate what we need to reinforce, maintain or improve.

Congratulations to the entire Guudjob team for this invention, What allowed me to issue a lot of ratings and receive no less than 19 ratings in a day!

And that's not just why, but to bet on personal brand management through its Personal Branding Academy. A great idea.

Here I leave a link with a brief post of Guudjob of 4 tricks to grow as a pro. A year ago Jaime Fernandez interviewed me via Skype and recorded the title interview: How can I offer a company to work with them? There are some interesting tips in little more than 4 Minutes.

Nonconformists who want to improve their personal brand and value themselves

The first edition of the Ponte en Valor Express workshop format in Barcelona brought together an impressive group of nonconformists. I don't know who learned from whom. Fran Segarra and their exercise “Brand Capital” caused many attendees to self-fund their eertial capital, applied, relational, emotional and vital: brutal. Talent exists and is among us. And the first feedback comes out of the inside.

Group (almost entirely) Of the Ponte en Valor Express workshop 10 June Bcn

This group, something more knowledgeable about the branding staff, was more than clear about the importance of feedback as a step prior to the design of the personal strategy and the implementation of a visibility plan. We invite you to join Guudjob and give feedback on the experience. They will., I'm sure. But for now, like cracks that are from social media, have already sent us their assessments of the workshop from that medium.

The truth is that it was a very interesting experience with people with a tremendous thirst to know more, but also to share stories and experiences. enriching. Eva Collado left his soul to explain the importance of what we do and how we do it on social media and blogs so that - precisely- that feedback comes to us and it's positive.

The place of formation could not be more inspiring. Magnificent summary Julia for leaving us ready Space With Sense, an unbeatable location to value yourself.

At last, a friend's advice. If you want to receive feedback, asks for feedback, and -very important- gives feedback.
